Depending on the application, the modules can be equipped with charging points for e-bikes and electric cars. Founder Sven Terhardt previously worked in Amsterdam at QWIC and later led the international igus:bike project at igus. The idea for TER BOX emerged after multiple bicycles were stolen from Terhardt’s residence, and no suitable storage space was available. This experience led to the development of a system that enables secure bicycle storage in urban environments. “TER BOX is not intended as an alternative to car use but as a complement to existing mobility,” Terhardt continues. “The focus is on electrification and on utilizing available space in urban areas differently.
