Cularis Pure: Nuovo casco trail leggero e ventilato – Pianeta Mountain BikeThe POC Cularis Pure helmet introduces a novel approach to adapting to varying weather conditions, enhancing both comfort and safety for mountain bikers. Building upon the foundation of the original Cularis model, the Cularis Pure incorporates interchangeable visor covers, allowing riders to tailor ventilation and protection based on environmental factors.
Design and Features
The Cularis Pure maintains the robust design of its predecessor, featuring a lightweight polycarbonate shell and an EPS foam liner. The helmet offers comprehensive coverage, particularly around the temples and occipital area, instilling confidence during technical rides. A notable addition is the Eye Garage, a non-slip area on the helmet’s front that securely holds sunglasses when not in use, preventing them from slipping off during climbs or descents. Interchangeable Visor Covers
A standout feature of the Cularis Pure is its interchangeable visor covers, designed to adapt the helmet’s ventilation to different weather conditions. The standard visor allows for maximum airflow, ideal for warm, dry days, while the weather cover reduces airflow to protect against rain, snow, or cold winds. This system enables riders to customize their helmet’s performance without the need for multiple helmets. (singletracks.com)
Safety and Comfort
Equipped with the MIPS Evolve rotational impact protection system, the Cularis Pure enhances safety by reducing rotational forces during a crash. The helmet’s 360-degree fit system ensures a secure and comfortable fit, accommodating various head shapes. Ventilation is optimized through strategically placed vents and internal channels, promoting airflow to keep riders cool during intense rides. (singletracks.com)
Performance
In real-world testing, the Cularis Pure has demonstrated its adaptability and comfort. Riders have found the helmet effective in wet conditions, with the weather cover preventing rain from entering the helmet while maintaining adequate ventilation. The ease of swapping visor covers allows for quick adjustments to changing weather, enhancing the overall riding experience. (themtblab.com)
