The Defender brand has unveiled the finalists for the sixth annual Defender Service Awards, presented by CHASE, recognizing charitable organizations across North America that embody the brand’s spirit of embracing the impossible. (media.landrover.com)
Each finalist will receive a $5,000 donation from CHASE to support their mission, with the opportunity to win a customized Defender 130 vehicle and an additional $30,000 in prize money. The winners will be announced during Destination Defender, a special event in Temecula, California, on the weekend of September 11.
The finalists are divided into six categories:

Animal, Wildlife & Marine Mammal Welfare Award – Presented by Disney: Pacific Wildlife Care, West Suburban Humane Society, Atlantic Marine Conservation Society, Helen Woodward Animal Center, and Picolini’s Animal Rescue.

Community Services Award – Presented by ei3: First Baptist Gatlinburg Food Pantry, Fetter Health Care Network, Whistler Community Services Society, Covenant House New Jersey, and Living Lakes Canada.

Search, Rescue & Emergency Support Services Award – Presented by Pelican: Big Horn County Search and Rescue, Friends of Custer County Search and Rescue, Grey Bull Rescue, West Valley Search & Rescue, and Kansas Search and Rescue Dog Association.

Veteran & Civil Servant Outreach Award – Presented by WPP: Got Your Six Support Dogs, Operation Patriots FOB, Fox Bravo Overland, Oklahoma Veterans United, and Veterans Outreach Center, Inc.

Outdoor Accessibility & Education Award – Presented by Outside Inc.: National Ability Center, RuckusRoots, Spirit North, SOS Outreach, and Special Olympics Missouri.

Defender Service Honorees Award – Presented by S&P Global Mobility: Adaptive Adventures, Bionic Project, Inc., Catalyst Sports Inc, Coalition to Restore Coastal Louisiana, Combat Recovery Foundation, HIT Living Foundation, Inyo County Search and Rescue, Marine Mammal Care Center of Los Angeles, Meals on Wheels of the Monterey Peninsula, North Carolina Adapted Sports, Pemberton Search & Rescue, Red Feather Development Group, Shelter to Soldier, SICSA Pet Adoption and Wellness Center, Sunshine Coast Search and Rescue, and The Food Brigade, Inc.
