In the latest edition of Weekend Snapshot, we traverse the globe to explore recent bikepacking adventures in Oregon, Spain, and Cyprus. Our community members have been embracing the spring weather, embarking on rides that showcase the diverse landscapes and cultures these regions offer.
Oregon, USA
A group of enthusiasts ventured into the Cascade Mountains, setting up camp just after sunset. The following day, they descended approximately 7,000 feet of elevation gain, completing their journey back home. The weather in Portland, Oregon, during this period was mild, with temperatures ranging from 11.4°C to 16.1°C, providing comfortable conditions for their ride.
Catalonia, Spain
In the vicinity of Barcelona, a short ride with friends unfolded under sunny skies, reminiscent of spring despite it being January. The group enjoyed gravel paths and engaging conversations, highlighting the joy of cycling together. Barcelona experienced temperatures between 15.0°C and 18.3°C during this time, offering pleasant conditions for outdoor activities.
Cyprus
After days of rain and mud, the weather cleared just in time for a final descent towards the sea and the destination in Pervolia. This marked a beautiful conclusion to the Cyprus Crossing route. Pervolia, Cyprus, enjoyed temperatures ranging from 15.0°C to 16.1°C, providing a refreshing end to the journey.
