Introducing the Winter School on Travel Demand Management
The University of Milan-Bicocca, in collaboration with the National Center for Sustainable Mobility (MOST), is offering the second edition of the Winter School on Travel Demand Management. This program is designed to equip professionals with the skills to analyze and manage mobility demand, focusing on corporate mobility management strategies. The course is led by Professor Matteo Colleoni.
A Pioneering University Course on Corporate Mobility Management
This is the first university course entirely dedicated to analyzing and managing mobility demand, with a specific focus on corporate mobility management strategies. The goal is to train professionals capable of providing practical tools to reduce the impact of systematic travel, particularly in home-to-school and home-to-work routes. This involves actively promoting the adoption of more sustainable alternatives, with special attention to intermodality and cycling.
Course Overview
The program offers a comprehensive overview of current challenges, including:
- Drafting the Home-to-Work Travel Plan (PSCL)
- Integrating mobility management into urban and transport planning
- Utilizing decision support systems
The curriculum aligns with the UNI 11977:2024 standard, which defines the professional profiles of Mobility Managers.
Program Highlights
To effectively influence travel habits, a practical approach is essential. Therefore, the 40-hour course combines theoretical lessons with numerous direct testimonies and case studies. Among the instructors and guest speakers are experts from the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport (MIT), ISTAT, ISFORT, as well as professionals from major companies and public transport agencies. This provides an opportunity to analyze real scenarios and understand how to promote sustainable mobility within organizations.
