These new wheels are engineered to deliver a lighter weight, enhanced aerodynamic efficiency, and increased stiffness compared to their predecessors. The lineup comprises three models—C36, C50, and C60—each tailored to specific riding disciplines and preferences.

Weight Reduction: The WH-R9370 series achieves a weight reduction of up to 220 grams per wheelset compared to the previous DURA-ACE R9270 generation. This reduction translates to improved climbing responsiveness and sharper acceleration without compromising stability or durability.

Aerodynamic Efficiency: Optimized for 28 and 30 mm wide tires, the internal rim width of 23 mm ensures an ideal aerodynamic combination. At a speed of 48 km/h, these wheels reduce air resistance by up to 2.7 watts, enhancing overall performance.

Cup-and-Conus Hubs: The new wheelsets retain Shimano’s adjustable cup-and-conus bearing system, allowing for optimal rotational torque during installation. This design better absorbs lateral forces and, in comparative tests, demonstrates up to 30% lower friction than hubs with typical cartridge bearings, resulting in smoother rolling and prolonged performance.
