Alyssa’s journey to the Tour Divide was marked by significant personal challenges. Between the ages of 13 and 27, she battled treatment-resistant depression, leading to multiple hospitalizations. Cycling became a transformative outlet, helping her overcome these struggles and achieve remarkable feats in endurance racing. In 2024, she completed the Tour Divide in 24 days and 1 hour, placing sixth. This year, she had already secured victories in events like the Grand Loop before the accident. (litespeed.com)
