Cane Creek Cycling Components
Cane Creek Cycling Components, based in Fletcher, North Carolina, is set to host the inaugural “CRAFTED: Southeast Bicycle and Gear Showcase” on September 26-27, 2026. This event marks the Southeast’s first dedicated exhibition of handcrafted bicycles, custom components, and cycling craftsmanship. The showcase is free and open to the public, with exhibitor applications currently open.
The venue is conveniently located near downtown Asheville and the Pisgah National Forest, providing an ideal backdrop to celebrate the region’s vibrant cycling community and its rich tradition of frame building. Bryan Flack, Cane Creek’s OEM Sales Manager, emphasized the importance of highlighting local talent:
“We are situated in the Southeast with an often forgotten but lively cycling industry. We have so many partners that fall into that handmade and small frame builder’s category down here, and they deserve to be celebrated and highlighted.”
The event aims to foster connections between cyclists and local frame builders, offering a platform to showcase their work and share their stories. Dorene O’Malley, CRAFTED Director, expressed the vision for the event:
“This is year one, and the beginning of something bigger. Our hope is to build an annual event in the Southeast to celebrate small frame builders, gear, and component manufacturers. Join us in building a community.”
Attendees can look forward to a variety of activities, including:
- Discovering unique, handcrafted bicycles and components
- Engaging with makers through Q&A sessions and learning about their creative processes
- Participating in group rides and tours
- Enjoying live music, food, and beverages
- Accessing a family-friendly skills course
