Fox Racing, renowned for its comprehensive range of cycling gear, is set to expand its offerings with the introduction of the Vue Performance Eyewear in Spring 2027. This new line aims to complement their existing apparel and accessories, providing cyclists with a complete Fox ensemble from helmet to shoes.
Design and Features
The Vue Performance Eyewear draws upon Fox’s extensive experience in motocross and mountain biking goggles, as well as its affiliation with Giro, a sister company under the Revelyst umbrella. This collaboration ensures a seamless integration of design and technology, resulting in eyewear tailored specifically for mountain biking enthusiasts.
The Vue Pro model features a half-frame design, with the frame extending across the top of the lens and around the nose piece. The arms are designed to minimize interference with extended-coverage half-shell helmets, measuring 135mm in length and equipped with Soft Grip rubber tips for enhanced comfort. The nose piece offers two interchangeable Soft Grip rubber nose pads, allowing riders to customize the fit according to their preferences.
The large-coverage lens measures 145mm in width and 60mm in height, featuring a cylindrical shape with subtle 3D shaping around the nose area. This design not only provides an expansive field of view but also directs airflow to the sides, reducing wind resistance and enhancing comfort during rides. Additionally, small vents in the upper corners of the lens facilitate ventilation, further improving airflow.
Lens Technology
Equipped with Vivid lens technology, the Vue Pro enhances contrast and clarity, particularly in low-light and mixed lighting conditions. This technology, also utilized in Giro’s ski and bike goggles, ensures that riders experience sharp, high-contrast vision, allowing them to navigate trails with confidence. The eyewear comes with a Vivid Rose lens installed, ideal for shaded or forested environments, and includes a spare clear lens for varying light conditions. Lens swapping is facilitated by a user-friendly system, enabling quick and easy changes to suit different riding scenarios.
First Impressions
Initial testing of the Vue Pro has been promising. The eyewear offers a secure and comfortable fit, remaining stable during rides. The Vivid Rose lens performs exceptionally well in shaded areas, providing a warm, rosy hue that enhances visibility in low-light conditions. While the eyewear is slightly heavier than some competitors, weighing approximately 33 grams, it does not feel burdensome during use. The design is both functional and aesthetically pleasing, with the rose lens adding a distinctive touch.
Availability
The Vue Performance Eyewear is slated for release in Spring 2027. Fox Racing has indicated that more details regarding models, lenses, colors, and pricing will be available as the launch date approaches.
