Specialized has unveiled the Turbo Levo R, a trail-focused electric mountain bike (eMTB) that combines agility with robust power. Positioned as the “Rally Car of e-MTBs,” the Levo R is engineered for riders seeking a dynamic and responsive ride.
Design and Build
The Levo R features a lightweight carbon frame, closely mirroring the design of its Levo 4 counterpart. It offers a choice between two powerful motor options: the S-Works motor delivering up to 850W and 111Nm of torque, and the standard motor providing up to 810W and 105Nm of torque. Riders can select from multiple battery sizes, including a 840Wh standard battery and an optional 600Wh internal battery, with the possibility of adding a 280Wh range extender for extended rides. Suspension and Geometry
Equipped with 130mm of front and 140mm of rear travel, the Levo R is designed for enhanced maneuverability and responsiveness on the trails. The bike’s geometry includes a 64.5° head angle for stability at speed, a 77° seat tube angle for efficient climbing, and a 12mm longer chainstay to accommodate the larger rear wheel, contributing to high-speed stability. Technology and Features
The Levo R is equipped with Specialized’s ‘SuperNatural’ motor system, offering smooth and precise power delivery. The bike also features the GENIE suspension system, providing a linear feel through the early to mid-travel and a progressive curve at the end to prevent bottom-outs. Adjustable geometry allows riders to fine-tune the bike to their preferences, with options to adjust the head angle, bottom bracket height, and chainstay length. (bikeradar.com)

The Levo R is available in three complete builds, all sharing the same FACT 11m carbon frame. The Levo R Expert is priced at $10,800 and includes a GX AXS Transmission, Fox Performance Elite suspension, and Roval Traverse SL II carbon wheels.
