Serotta Cycling has unveiled the Colorado CXL Limited Edition, a commemorative series of 40 bespoke bicycles marking the 40th anniversary of the original Colorado model. This frame has been pivotal in defining Serotta’s performance identity and establishing the brand as a leader in custom bicycle construction.
Two Models, Two Materials, Two Master Frame-Builders
The Colorado CXL Limited Edition offers two distinct models, each crafted with precision and attention to detail:

Colorado CXL LE: This model pays homage to the early steel Colorados. Constructed from Serotta’s proprietary C17 Columbus steel tubing, each frame is fillet-brazed and meticulously finished by master frame-builder Kelly Bedford. Bedford joined Serotta in 1986 and played a significant role in the development of the original Colorado frames.

Colorado CXL LE Ti: Featuring Serotta’s forthcoming 2027 3D hollow-core frame components integrated with the T-8 titanium Colorado Concept tube set, this model showcases advanced technology not yet available on any other Serotta model. The titanium frames are welded by Andy Keech, renowned for his expertise in welding thin-walled, highly manipulated titanium.
