Ribble Cycles has unveiled the Ultra-Road, a new endurance bike designed to offer real-world riders a faster and more comfortable alternative to traditional pro-level positions. This model combines high-performance aerodynamics with endurance geometry, positioning itself as the brand’s flagship long-distance road bike.
The Ultra-Road is part of Ribble’s premium Ultra series, joining the Ultra-Aero, Ultra-Race, and Ultra-Grit models. Notably, it is the first in this lineup not solely aimed at racers, though it does carry UCI approval. The bike features a full monocoque frame made from high-end M46 and T1000 carbon materials, resulting in a lighter frame with improved bottom-bracket stiffness compared to the Allroad SLR. Its design includes aero tube shaping, integrated bottle cages, and a new carbon aero-comfort seatpost to dampen road vibrations. Additionally, the Ultra-Road offers internal frame storage, mudguard compatibility, wide gearing options, and clearance for up to 38mm tyres.
Ribble’s CEO, Sean Hastings, emphasized the importance of a sustainable riding position: “Most riders can’t maintain an extreme position for long. When they try, fatigue builds, power drops, and riding is less enjoyable; trying to emulate a pro’s riding position isn’t right for everyone. ULTRA-ROAD is designed around that insight – it’s a performance road bike with a fit that most riders will actually perform better on.”
The Ultra-Road is available in Slate Grey Metallic, Damson Metallic, and a limited-edition Iridescent White Metallic. Groupset options include Shimano 105 Di2, Ultegra Di2, Dura-Ace Di2, SRAM Force AXS, and SRAM Red AXS, with wheelset choices. The 105 Di2 model can be upgraded with an Aero Pack, which includes Ribble’s one-piece aero cockpit and Mavic’s Cosmic S 42 carbon wheels. Pricing starts at £2,599 for the Ultra-Road 105 and goes up to £6,999 for the Ultra-Road Red Zipp.
In addition to the Ultra-Road, Ribble has introduced the Allroad Carbon, an evolution of the Allroad SL. This model features a redesigned fork with increased tyre clearance up to 35mm, fully integrated cable routing, and a UDH dropout. The Allroad Carbon is available in Deep Blue Metallic and Silver Sage Metallic, with groupset options including Shimano Tiagra, 105, and Ultegra. Base models can be upgraded with the Aero Pack. Pricing starts from £1,799 for the Allroad Carbon Tiagra.
Both the Ultra-Road and Allroad Carbon are available in sizes XXS to XL, catering to riders from 4ft 11in (149cm) to 6ft 4in (193cm). Customers can also opt for custom paint with Ribble’s custom colour service.
