Dubbed “Tall and Friendly,” this self-made tallbike is a fusion of four distinct frames, resulting in a unique and eye-catching design.
A Journey of Innovation
George’s passion for unconventional bicycles began nearly two decades ago in Lexington, Kentucky. After constructing his first double-decker tallbike post-university, he embarked on a journey of continuous innovation. Over the years, he has assembled numerous unique bikes, with “Tall and Friendly” being his most intricate creation to date. This latest project showcases his dedication to pushing the boundaries of bicycle design.
The Build: A Symphony of Components
The “Tall and Friendly” tallbike is a harmonious blend of various bicycle parts, each contributing to its distinctive character:

A Community-Centric Creation
The “Tall and Friendly” tallbike was conceived with the local cycling community in mind. The qathet region boasts a vibrant bike culture, with groups expanding beyond traditional enduro rigs. Inspired by the success of a monthly Bike Party social ride, which has seen good attendance in its second year, George aimed to contribute to the festivities with a new and exciting ride. Thus, “Tall and Friendly” was born, embodying the spirit of community and adventure.
A Testament to Creativity
George’s “Tall and Friendly” tallbike is more than just a mode of transportation; it’s a work of art that reflects his passion for cycling and innovation. By repurposing various bicycle components, he has created a unique machine that stands out in the cycling community. This project not only showcases his technical skills but also his dedication to fostering a sense of community through shared experiences and creative expression.
