LOOK Cycle has unveiled the 795 Blade RS 3, the latest iteration of its premier racing platform. This third-generation model boasts a 15-watt reduction in drag compared to its predecessor, achieved through meticulous aerodynamic refinement. The frameset is 160 grams lighter, and the bike offers over 350 fit combinations across six size-specific geometries, ensuring a tailored fit for a wide range of riders. Each frame is handcrafted, painted, and quality-controlled at LOOK’s facility in Burgundy, France, and comes with a lifetime warranty.
Proven Performance
The 795 Blade RS 3’s performance credentials are solidified by its collaboration with Team Cofidis. Ridden by Alex Aranburu, the bike secured a stage victory at the Itzulia Basque Country in April and another win at the Tour of Belgium in June. This real-world success underscores the bike’s design philosophy: to deliver tangible performance gains on the road.
Aerodynamic Excellence
Engineered with a focus on real-world conditions, the 795 Blade RS 3 employs advanced Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) simulations and extensive wind tunnel testing. These efforts have resulted in a bike that maintains exceptional aerodynamic efficiency across wind angles from -15° to +15°, delivering consistent advantages regardless of rider position or environmental conditions. At a speed of 50 km/h, the bike saves 15 watts compared to its predecessor, translating to measurable speed improvements for the rider.
Balanced Ride Quality
Beyond aerodynamics, the 795 Blade RS 3 emphasizes a balanced ride experience. The frame’s design ensures superior power transfer, with the front end and bottom bracket being up to 10% stiffer than the World Tour average. Deliberately compliant tubes in the fork and rear triangle absorb road vibrations, enhancing comfort and cornering efficiency. The bike also accommodates wider tires, with a generous 34mm clearance, allowing for improved rolling efficiency and comfort on varied road surfaces.
Customizable Fit
Recognizing the importance of rider fit, the 795 Blade RS 3 offers over 350 fit options. The “Your LOOK à la Carte” configurator allows riders to customize their setup, including seven stem lengths (80 to 140 mm), three handlebar widths, and 0 to 50 mm of headset spacers. The new Aero Carbon RS 3 handlebar is engineered for three distinct racing scenarios, featuring a shape that aids in maintaining an aero position, maximized stiffness for sprints, and a tailored sweep and flare for better breathing on climbs. This level of customization ensures that each rider can achieve their optimal position and performance.
Aesthetic Appeal
The 795 Blade RS 3 is available in four distinct finishes: Pro Team Black, Silver Red, Orange Shift/Black, and Iconic Prisme. The Iconic Prisme Replica, a limited edition of just 50 units, mirrors the exact configuration raced by Team Cofidis at the Tour de France. This model features a wireless Campagnolo Super Record groupset, Bora WTO 60 Ultra Team wheels, and is adorned with the iconic red, yellow, and blue livery that has defined LOOK frames for four decades.
