Continental has expanded its Aero 111 lineup with a new 32 mm variant, designed to enhance aerodynamic performance and rider comfort. Developed in collaboration with Swiss Side, this tire features innovative vortex generators that reduce air resistance and improve the sailing effect.
The Aero 111 32 mm tire addresses the challenges posed by varying wind angles and uneven road surfaces. Its patented tread pattern incorporates 48 precisely placed cavities, known as vortex generators, which manage airflow around the front wheel. This design delays airflow separation, reducing drag and enhancing stability in crosswinds.
Despite its wider profile, the Aero 111 32 mm tire maintains high speed and durability. It utilizes Continental’s BlackChili compound for low rolling resistance and reliable grip in both wet and dry conditions. The Vectran Breaker layer provides puncture protection, a feature shared with the renowned Grand Prix 5000 series. The tire is fully Tubeless Ready and compatible with hookless rims.
The Aero 111 is now available in three widths: 32-622, 29-622, and 26-622, weighing 310, 280, and 250 grams respectively. This tire offers high performance and aerodynamic benefits across various road conditions, catering to the needs of modern cyclists.
