Speedwear ConceptBioracer, the Belgian brand renowned for its performance-oriented cycling apparel, has unveiled the Speedwear AeroLite Road Race Suit as part of its 2026 Speedwear Concept collection. Designed for warm race days, this suit seamlessly integrates cooling technology with aerodynamic efficiency, addressing the critical balance between temperature management and speed.
Innovative Cooling and Aerodynamics
The Speedwear AeroLite suit introduces Bioracer’s Race Position Fit combined with a new PreCool upper section. The Race Position Fit ensures cyclists maintain an optimal aerodynamic posture, while the PreCool fabric enhances ventilation around the upper body. Crafted from lightweight polyester with a semi-mesh structure and ripstop pattern, the PreCool material facilitates freer air circulation, allowing heat to dissipate rapidly and sweat to be efficiently wicking away. This quick-drying fabric offers UPF 40 protection and is 25 grams lighter than the standard Speedwear Road Race Suit, making it particularly suited for the demands of hot race days.
Enrico Accorsi, Head of Product Development at Bioracer, notes, “PreCool was previously used during the Tokyo Olympics, where athletes faced extreme heat and high humidity. Combined with graphene technology, the fabric helped support body temperature management during high-level efforts. This experience contributed to the development of AeroLite: a suit that brings cooling and aerodynamic efficiency closer together.”
Enhanced Features for Competitive Edge
The AeroLite Suit is further equipped with CleanCut sleeves featuring a striped structure, integrated HoneyComb grippers, four mesh rear pockets, and the premium Wave chamois. These elements collectively provide a snug fit, stability, functionality, and comfort during races and intensive training sessions.
Complementary Aero Accessories
In addition to the AeroLite Road Race Suit, Bioracer introduces the new generation of Speedwear Aero Overshoes and Speedwear Aero Socks. Both accessories complete the aerodynamic Speedwear setup and are also worn by professional cyclists from Equipe Cycliste Groupama – FDJ United and Team TotalEnergies. Utilizing AeroFly fabric, a striped material that creates controlled turbulence, these items help reduce aerodynamic drag by keeping the air attached to the shoe, sock, and lower leg for longer periods.
The CleanCut finish ensures a seamless transition from shoe to sock and leg, while integrated grippers keep everything in place during intense efforts. Accorsi adds, “Even around the shoe, aerodynamic gains can be achieved. With the Aero Overshoes, we make an often underestimated area a part of the total Speedwear setup.” The socks also offer breathable comfort thanks to Climawell fabric, which is quick-drying and helps limit overheating and excessive sweating. “For our professional cyclists, every detail counts. That’s why we developed a sock that maintains compression and aerodynamics from start to finish,” says Accorsi.
The latest Speedwear Concept products for 2026 are now available in the Bioracer webshop.
