CloseTheGap has unveiled six new GPS handlebar mounts in 2026, expanding their regular3 pro series. These models build upon the redesigned regular3 pro introduced in 2025, emphasizing ergonomics, ease of installation, and the functionality of the integrated bell. The pro series is now positioned as a more affordable alternative to the evo line, offering cyclists a choice between two handlebar mount variants for various cockpit designs.
Key Features and Differences
The primary distinctions between the evo and pro series lie in materials and additional features. The evo line utilizes carbon-reinforced plastic and includes a detachable bell with space for an Apple AirTag. In contrast, the regular3 pro models are crafted from fiberglass-reinforced material and feature a fixed bell. Acoustically, the evo models produce a refined bell sound due to a new silver material, whereas the pro series offers a more traditional tone with its aluminum bell. Additionally, the evo line comes standard with a lamp holder.
Mounting Options
The new range includes various models tailored for different cockpit and stem designs:
-
Mini Model: Designed for smaller bike computers.
-
DM Version: Mounts directly onto the stem, available for both M5 and M6 bolt installations.
-
Fi Version: Compatible with cockpits featuring two bolts in a row.
-
SD Version: Developed for stems with a front slot, commonly found in brands like Specialized, Orbea, and 3T.
-
BB Version: Intended for cockpits with a GoPro-style attachment for the GPS holder, used by brands such as BBB, Merida, BMC, Bontrager, Colnago, Cervélo, Factor, and Cannondale.
