Lift Up: Mobile Solutions for Cargo Bikes

by VeloMagster

At the recent B2B Festival in Den Bosch, Netherlands, Eurocarplate showcased the Ezoord bike lift, a versatile tool designed to elevate cargo bikes to a comfortable working height. This innovative lift allows technicians to effortlessly raise a cargo bike, invert it when necessary, and smoothly maneuver it throughout the workshop.

A Seamless Integration into Workshop Operations

Eurocarplate, a Belgian company based in Niel, has been distributing Ezoord bike lifts since last year. The lifts are battery-operated, eliminating the need for a fixed power supply and providing flexibility in workshop placement. This mobility is particularly advantageous during peak periods when workspace is limited. Technicians can position the lift in any available corner, facilitating repairs even when permanent workstations are occupied. For instance, when servicing a cargo bike’s motor, the lift can quickly invert the bike, and once the task is completed, it can be easily rolled aside, allowing the technician to continue with other repairs.

Ergonomic Design Inspired by Medical Equipment

The Ezoord bike lift’s design is rooted in medical technology, where similar mechanisms are used to position heavy equipment. This inspiration ensures that the lift promotes an ergonomic working posture, reducing strain on technicians. The clamp securely attaches to both the frame and seat post, allowing the bike to be raised to the desired height and rotated 360 degrees, which is particularly beneficial when working on components like the motor.

A Range of Models to Suit Various Needs

Ezoord offers three models tailored to different requirements:

  • Standard Model: Ideal for regular bicycles, this model weighs 42 kg and can lift bikes up to 65 cm with a speed of 35 mm per second.

  • Heavy Duty Model: Designed for heavier e-bikes and demanding tasks, it weighs 50 kg and can lift bikes up to 80 cm with a speed of 50 mm per second.

  • Cargo Bike Lift: Specifically engineered for two- or three-wheeled cargo bikes, this model weighs 88 kg and offers enhanced stability with an extra-wide base. It allows for automatic lifting and 360-degree rotation at the push of a button or foot pedal.

Eurocarplate’s introduction of the Ezoord bike lift at the B2B Festival underscores their commitment to enhancing workshop efficiency and ergonomics. By integrating such innovative solutions, technicians can perform repairs more effectively, ensuring that cargo bikes are maintained to the highest standards.
