El Nayal joined Enviolo three years ago as the company’s first Director of ESG, where he developed “Envision,” a comprehensive sustainability strategy. Under his leadership, Enviolo implemented independent human rights audits across multiple tiers of its supply chain, reduced carbon emission intensity by over 35% compared to a 2022 baseline, and significantly increased the use of recycled materials in its products and packaging. In 2025, his responsibilities expanded to include strategic planning, and in early 2026, he took on additional duties overseeing operations and supply chain management. (enviolo.com)

As COO, El Nayal will be part of Enviolo’s management board, reporting directly to CEO Alexander Buytendijk. He will coordinate the company’s operational network and data and sustainability functions, supporting Enviolo’s next phase of growth. (enviolo.com)

Buytendijk praised El Nayal’s dedication and leadership, stating, “Omar embodies Enviolo’s values of passion, loyalty, authenticity, and joyfulness. He approaches his work with genuine dedication and brings clarity, empathy, and transparency to every challenge. Just as importantly, his positive energy strengthens the people around him. We are confident that his leadership will carry our operations through the next phase of Enviolo’s growth.” (enviolo.com)

El Nayal emphasized the importance of a cohesive supply chain, noting, “Behind the products that set Enviolo apart is a complex web of suppliers, manufacturing partners, and logistics providers that have to work as one. Part of my job is orchestrating those flows. The other part is making the model itself more agile and more robust, so it holds as we scale. My goal is for our customers to find doing business with Enviolo as smooth as the rides they take on our products.” (enviolo.com)

Before joining Enviolo, El Nayal held leadership roles in the packaging and hospitality sectors, focusing on operational excellence and leveraging sustainability for commercial growth. He began his academic career as a researcher and professor of strategy at the Católica Lisbon School of Business & Economics in Portugal. He holds a PhD in Strategic Management from Erasmus University Rotterdam, where he continues to teach Executive Education programs. (enviolo.com)
