Clive Mitchell Cycles, a family-owned institution in Cornwall since 1970, is set to inaugurate its expansive new showroom on September 14, 2026, with a grand opening event scheduled for October 10, 2026. This strategic expansion consolidates the retailer’s operations, previously spread across two locations, into a single, purpose-built 11,000-square-foot facility in Summercourt, near Newquay. A Unified Hub for Cyclists
The new showroom is designed to enhance operational efficiency and customer experience by housing the showroom, stock, and workshop facilities under one roof. This consolidation allows Clive Mitchell Cycles to increase its inventory capacity and streamline product availability, reducing the need for inter-location transfers. The facility also features five workshop stations for the company’s team of mechanics and a dedicated bike fitting studio, alongside significantly more free parking on site than the old premises could offer. Commitment to Sustainability
Sustainability is a cornerstone of the new showroom’s design. The all-electric building is equipped with 42 solar panels, heat pumps, and underfloor heating, collectively expected to save the business hundreds of pounds in energy costs annually. (cornishstuff.com)
