Leading the Charge: Head Bicycle Mechanic Position in Amsterdam’s Thriving E-Bike Industry

To support this growth, they are currently seeking a Head Bicycle Mechanic.
Role Overview
As the Head Bicycle Mechanic, you will oversee the workshop, ensuring that e-bikes are refurbished to the highest quality standards. You will lead and motivate a team of bicycle mechanics, develop efficient processes, and collaborate closely with the Operations Manager to continuously improve performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Team Leadership: Lead and coach a team of bicycle mechanics, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure all refurbishment and repair processes meet quality and safety standards.
- Workflow Management: Organize workflow, allocate tasks, and set daily priorities to optimize productivity.
- Process Improvement: Implement continuous improvements in productivity and efficiency.
- Cross-Department Collaboration: Work closely with Operations, Logistics, and Customer Service teams to ensure smooth delivery of refurbished bikes.
- Performance Reporting: Report workshop performance metrics and propose improvements.
Qualifications
- Experience: Proven experience in leading a technical or workshop team, preferably in the bicycle or mobility industry.
- Technical Knowledge: In-depth understanding of bicycle mechanics, with expertise in e-bikes being a plus.
- Leadership Skills: Ability to organize, motivate, and develop a team.
- Process Orientation: Process-driven mindset with a focus on quality and safety.
- Adaptability: Hands-on approach, problem-solving skills, and adaptability in a fast-growing environment.
- Language Skills: Fluency in English; Dutch is an advantage.
