Boyd Cycling has unveiled its latest innovation in mountain bike hubs: the Sixtus Gravity MTB Hubs. Designed to meet the rigorous demands of gravity-oriented riding, these hubs promise enhanced durability, rapid engagement, and reduced drag.

Rapid Engagement: The Sixtus hubs feature a 102-tooth driver ring coupled with six pawls, delivering 612 points of engagement with just 0.5 degrees between each point. This design ensures near-instantaneous response without the excessive drag typically associated with high-engagement hubs.

Enhanced Durability: Engineered to withstand the rigors of gravity-focused riding, the Sixtus hubs are e-bike rated, indicating their robustness under heavy torque and demanding conditions.

“The Sixtus Hub is built for Chaos. We made it for riders who smash into rock gardens, land sideways, pedal through compressions, and expect their equipment to respond instantly every single time. We wanted the fastest engagement possible, and simply refused to accept the drag and harshness that usually comes with it.”
The Sixtus hubs have been rigorously tested and proven on the World Cup Enduro circuit, including by rider Bex Barona in La Thuile.

The front hub is designed with versatility in mind, accommodating both 15x110mm Boost and 20x110mm DH configurations through a simple end cap swap. The Sixtus hubs are available in Boost spacing, feature a 6-bolt rotor interface, and are compatible with J-bend spokes.
Availability:
The Sixtus hubs are now available in Boyd Cycling’s refreshed Kanuga FF Alloy ($800/set) and Ridgeline Carbon Enduro ($2,000/set) wheelsets. These wheelsets are available starting today, with plans to incorporate the Sixtus hubs across other wheel platforms, including the Bracken Trail Alloy, throughout the remainder of 2026.
