Black Inc has unveiled the HYPER 62, a cutting-edge carbon road wheelset engineered to deliver unparalleled speed, efficiency, and ride quality. This innovative wheelset is the culmination of years of research and development, introducing proprietary carbon spoke technology, bonded hub flange construction, and a sleek aerodynamic profile.

Proprietary Carbon Spoke Technology

At the core of the HYPER 62 is Black Inc’s proprietary carbon spoke system. By designing and manufacturing their own carbon spokes, Black Inc has achieved precise control over the wheel’s structural characteristics, including shape, layup, stiffness, and strength. This approach allows for a tuned ride quality with low mass, high lateral responsiveness, and controlled behavior under load. The result is a wheelset that responds instantly to rider input while maintaining stability at high speeds.

Bonded Hub Flange Construction

A standout feature of the HYPER 62 is its bonded hub flange construction. By employing a precision bonding process, Black Inc has created a robust connection between the carbon spokes and the hub, enabling them to function as an integrated system. This design enhances load distribution, improves stiffness, and reduces unnecessary material, resulting in a lighter and stronger wheelset capable of withstanding the demands of professional-level racing and high-performance riding.

Hidden Threaded Tip Integration

The HYPER 62 introduces an innovative hidden threaded tip integration, reducing aerodynamic drag by concealing the spoke nipples within the rim. This design minimizes airflow disruption around the spoke-to-rim junction, contributing to overall aerodynamic efficiency while maintaining the durability and practicality demanded by elite riders.

Optimized Aerodynamic Performance

The 62 mm rim profile has been meticulously optimized through extensive aerodynamic development to provide exceptional performance across a wide range of wind conditions. An advanced carbon layup, complemented by a TexTreme outer layer, ensures low weight without compromising structural integrity. The TexTreme layer enhances wall stiffness, preventing deformation under load, tire installation, or impact, and contributes to a cleaner aerodynamic profile. Combined with the proprietary carbon spokes and refined spoke integration, the HYPER 62 wheels deliver measurable reductions in aerodynamic drag while maintaining predictable handling characteristics.

Availability and Pricing

The Black Inc HYPER 62 wheelset is available through authorized Black Inc retailers and distributors worldwide. In the United States, the wheelset is priced at $3,899 USD (excluding taxes).
