Stamp Trail Speed Lace Flat Shoes – Green/Gum

| CrankbrothersCrankbrothers Stamp Trail Speed Lace Vent: A Lightweight MTB Shoe for Trail and Everyday Use

Crankbrothers has introduced the Stamp Trail Speed Lace Vent, a lightweight mountain bike shoe designed for both trail riding and daily wear. Available in both flat pedal (Stamp) and clipless pedal (Mallet) versions, this shoe aims to provide comfort and performance across various cycling activities.

Design and Construction

The Stamp Trail Speed Lace Vent features a sneaker-like design, making it suitable for everyday use. The Bone-Grey color not only offers a subtle aesthetic but also reflects heat and conceals dust effectively. The shoe’s upper is constructed from durable, water-resistant synthetic materials with perforations for enhanced breathability. A traditional lace closure system, complemented by a lace pocket, ensures a secure fit and keeps the laces neatly tucked away. (crankbrothers.com)

Ventilation and Comfort

Designed with warm weather in mind, the shoe incorporates a highly ventilated mesh upper. Large ventilation zones promote excellent airflow, keeping the foot cool during extended rides. The non-absorbent EVA foam tongue adds to the comfort by drying quickly and preventing water retention. (crankbrothers.com)

Fit and Sizing

The Stamp Trail Speed Lace Vent is tailored for individuals with narrow feet, offering a snug fit that minimizes lateral movement. However, those with wider feet may find the shoe’s fit restrictive, particularly in the forefoot area. It’s advisable to try them on before purchasing or consider models with a wider cut. Weight and Performance

Weighing approximately 652 grams in size 43 (US 9.5, UK 8.5), the Stamp Trail Speed Lace Vent is lighter than many traditional flat pedal shoes. This reduction in weight is beneficial for long tours or daily commuting, where every gram saved contributes to overall performance. (crankbrothers.com)

Sole and Grip

The shoe features Crankbrothers’ proprietary Match outsole with a flexible midsole and a new, versatile tread pattern. The MC2 flat rubber compound offers high friction and low rebound properties, providing excellent grip on flat pedals and a comfortable walking experience off the bike. Protection

A TPU-reinforced toe box enhances protection against impacts with rocks and roots, while maintaining the shoe’s lightweight and non-bulky profile. (crankbrothers.com)

Conclusion

The Crankbrothers Stamp Trail Speed Lace Vent is a versatile and lightweight MTB shoe that excels in both trail performance and everyday comfort. Its breathable design, secure fit, and efficient sole make it a compelling choice for riders seeking a shoe that transitions seamlessly from the trail to daily activities. Potential buyers with wider feet should consider trying them on beforehand or opting for a model with a broader fit.
