Bosch eBike Systems has unveiled ‘Certified by Bosch’, a digital certification program aimed at enhancing transparency and trust in the pre-owned eBike market. Launching in July 2026, the service will initially be available in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, France, and the Netherlands, with plans to expand to Belgium, Spain, Italy, and other European markets. This innovative program provides a comprehensive assessment of the eBike’s battery and drive unit, presenting the findings through an intuitive star-based rating system. Key metrics include battery charge cycles, remaining capacity, distance travelled, and power usage. Additionally, the certificate confirms that the eBike has not been reported as stolen in the eBike Flow app and verifies the absence of tuning modifications. Rebike, a refurbishment specialist, is the first partner to offer certified eBikes starting in July 2026 in the aforementioned countries, with plans to extend to other European markets.
