KNAAP, the Amsterdam-based e-bike manufacturer, has launched a nationwide trade-in program aimed at encouraging consumers to transition to legal alternatives within their product lineup. This initiative targets various types of electric bicycles, including legal fatbikes, illegally modified fatbikes, and other e-bikes. Depending on the traded-in vehicle, consumers can receive up to \u20ac1,000 in trade-in benefits when purchasing a new bike from KNAAP’s portfolio. (knaapbikes.com<\/a>)<\/p>\n

The program is a response to growing societal concerns over traffic safety and the proliferation of illegally modified vehicles on Dutch roads. Robin Cats, founder of KNAAP, emphasized the company’s commitment to addressing these issues:<\/p>\n

KNAAP underscores the importance of distinguishing between legal fatbikes and those that have been illegally modified. Cats stated,<\/p>\n

In addition to the trade-in program, KNAAP is expanding its product range to include new city bikes and other mobility solutions. The company has become an official distributor for Royal Cargo and will also handle the distribution of Mokwheel. Further brand additions to their portfolio are expected later this year.
