Mica Cycles, renowned for their minimalist Rat Tail Rack, has introduced the Mica Mini Cam Straps—custom-designed cam-lock straps crafted by ARNO in Sweden. These straps are tailored to enhance the security and stability of your bikepacking gear, making them an excellent addition to any rack or cargo cage setup.

Design and Functionality

The Mica Mini Cam Straps feature 18mm polypropylene webbing combined with a plated steel cam-locking buckle. A distinctive double-ring loop behind the buckle allows for easy attachment to rack rails, ensuring the strap remains securely in place during your ride. This design minimizes gear movement, even on rough terrains.

Customization and Versatility

Skyler Des Roches, founder of Mica Cycles, has personalized the webbing to add a unique flair. Each strap measures 100cm (39 inches) and can be easily trimmed to your preferred length using sharp scissors and a lighter to prevent fraying. Priced at $9.50 USD each, the Mini Cam Straps are sold individually and are compatible with various racks, cargo cages, or any setup requiring secure gear attachment.

Availability

The Mica Mini Cam Straps are available for purchase at MicaCycles.com. For those attending the Show n’ Shine event in Vancouver this weekend, Skyler will be present with straps on hand.

In the realm of bikepacking accessories, the Mica Mini Cam Straps stand out for their simplicity, durability, and thoughtful design, making them a valuable addition to any cyclist’s gear collection.
