In 2025, London recorded its second-lowest number of cyclist fatalities, with six deaths on the capital’s roads. This figure matches the number from 2020 and is surpassed only by the five fatalities in 2019. Notably, the total number of road fatalities in London decreased by 13% from 110 in 2024 to 96 in 2025. Despite this encouraging trend, the number of serious injuries among cyclists is on the rise. In the first nine months of 2025, there was a 14% year-on-year increase in serious injuries to all cyclists, up from 773 in 2024 to 878 in 2025.
