Van Etten shared, “The original idea came from a friend who needed a bag for carrying his glasses up the hill without them getting foggy. Once people started seeing it, they wanted a way to carry their own stuff, so I got to making, and ended up with the more refined design we have today.”

Brand Philosophy

With nearly two decades of experience in the bicycle industry, Van Etten established Friend&Fiend to introduce niche products that cater to specific needs within the cycling community. Operating from a small studio, the brand emphasizes collaboration and innovation. Van Etten expressed a desire to work with other brands, artists, and makers on future projects, stating, “The coolest stuff comes from things that feel a little bit DIY.”

Availability

Cyclists interested in enhancing their riding experience with the On-Tube Storage Bags can learn more and make purchases through the official Friend&Fiend website.

By focusing on practical design and quality craftsmanship, Friend&Fiend is poised to make a significant impact in the cycling accessory market, offering riders functional solutions that enhance their cycling adventures.
