The company is headquartered in <strong>Oberwangen, Switzerland<\/strong> and specialises in fast S\u2011pedelecs (pedal\u2011assisted bikes capable of 45&nbsp;km\/h). Stromer emphasises <strong>rear\u2011hub motors<\/strong>, integrated batteries and <strong>digital connectivity<\/strong> via its OMNI platform. In 2025 the brand was active in <strong>26&nbsp;countries<\/strong> with a network of <strong>around&nbsp;500 dealers<\/strong>, more than <strong>150&nbsp;000 Stromer riders<\/strong>, <strong>130 employees<\/strong> and <strong>three subsidiaries<\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.stromerbike.com\/en\/about-us#:~:text=Shaping%20the%20future%20of%20mobility\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">stromerbike.com<\/a>. Its mission is to \u201cbring speed and joy into everyday movement\u201d by making commuting more sustainable and enjoyable<a href=\"https:\/\/www.stromerbike.com\/en\/about-us#:~:text=We%20bring%20speed%20and%20joy,into%20everyday%20movement\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">stromerbike.com<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">History<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Founding and the V1 prototype (2009)<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Founder:<\/strong> Stromer was founded by Swiss entrepreneur <strong>Thomas \u201cTh\u00f6mu\u201d\u00a0Binggeli<\/strong>.
