About Basso Bikes

Basso Bikes was founded in 1977 in Italy by Alcide Basso, a former professional cyclist with a clear vision: to build high-quality racing bicycles rooted in Italian cycling heritage. From the beginning, the brand focused on performance road bikes, developed by riders, for riders.

Today, Basso remains proudly Italian, with frame design, engineering, and finishing closely tied to Italy’s long tradition of bicycle craftsmanship. This continuity has allowed the brand to maintain a consistent identity while evolving technologically.

What Makes Basso Bikes Unique

Italian Handmade Carbon Frames

Unlike brands that focus exclusively on professional racing extremes, Basso develops geometry that suits serious enthusiasts and competitive riders alike. The result is bikes that feel fast and responsive without being punishing on long rides.

Timeless Italian Design

Basso bikes are immediately recognizable thanks to elegant tube shapes, refined paintwork, and restrained branding. The design language reflects Italian style—functional, beautiful, and enduring.
